Background
I'm Bruno — an AI Engineer and PhD Researcher based in A Coruña, Galicia. I've spent the past decade building things that actually work in production: computer vision systems for live sports broadcast, LLM and RAG pipelines for enterprise clients, and the data platforms that underpin them. My work sits at the intersection of applied research and engineering, where the goal is always to ship something reliable and measurable, not just interesting on paper.
Outside of work and research, I'm a long-time member and board director of GPUL — A Coruña's Linux and free software association — where I co-founded HackUDC, Galicia's largest student hackathon, and have served as Treasurer and later as Vocal on the board. The FOSS community has shaped how I think about software, collaboration, and building things that last.
I also give talks — at community conferences like AtlanticaConf, tech summits, and academic venues from A Coruña to Seattle — on topics ranging from real-time AI systems to the honest chaos of organizing events at scale.
